Where we are
Finca Mariposa, Stables and Picadero lie in the heart of the Guadalhorce valley just 15
minutes or so from Malaga Airport and approx 20 minutes from the golden, sandy beaches
of the Costa del Sol. The Finca itself sits on approx 12,000 sq. metres (almost 3 acres).

Pip prepares to leave from our picadero for a day's trek. The picadero is at the heart of Finca Mariposa commanding an elevated position affording wonderful 360 degree panoramic views of the surrounding valley and countryside.

The Stables and Picadero
It was important for Pip to not just have a picadero purely for dressage (the average size being approx 20m x 40m) designing
it herself to occupy 40 x 40m it has a duel purpose as a jumping/dressage arena.

Covered using traditional river sand which ensures it absorbs rather than retains the sun's heat it also has superb drainage properties affording all-year round use.

The ample stables offer great shade and a cozy backdrop to Jeanette's (Pip's Mum) home-made cooking and fabulous after hack' b-b-q nights'.

Where we are and how to get to
Finca Mariposa
Finca Mariposa is approximately 5 minutes
from the village of Alhaurin el Grande, this
in turn is only 26 kilometres from Malaga
International Airport, the gateway to southern Andalucia and the Costa del Sol.
